Terms And Conditions

All Visitors to abide by the following Rules

1. THE PROPERTY

The gite property known as “Maison Corbou” is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by Stephen and Susan Cliffe ("the Owner") to the renter ('the Client' or “your”).

2. HOW TO BOOK

Your booking may be made provisionally by telephone or E-mail.

3. PAYMENT

All prices net in Pounds Sterling. Payment can be made by cheque, paypal, bank transfer.

A Deposit of 20% of the booking fee by sterling cheque made payable to S. Cliffe .The balance must be paid not less than 8 weeks prior to your

arrival at the property.

The owner is entitled cancel the booking if the balance is not paid on time

Bookings taken within 8 weeks of your arrival must be paid in full.

4. CONFIRMATION

Your rental booking is only subject to confirmation by the return of a signed booking form together with your deposit. Upon receipt of the booking form and the deposit, the owner will send confirmation details to you. Please check all details carefully as soon as you receive them. If any of the information appears to be incorrect, please contact the owner immediately, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

5. RENTAL

Included in the charges are use of electricity, gas, water, towels and all of listed facilities, additionally in low season tariff includes the use of logs for the wood burner and central heating.

Bedding includes pillows and quilts, however as standard, guest will be expected to provide their own linen sheets and pillowcases.

A linen service is available for an additional charge, where one set of fresh sheets and pillow cases will be provided per week. Please advise when booking if you wish to include this optional service.

Visitors should however provide their own towels for use outside the property garden area or beach and their own linen if they do not take the Linen service.

The property will be available from 4 p.m. on day of arrival and the owner would ask that it is vacated by 11am on day of departure.

6. CLIENT RESPONSABILITIES

The client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the property and to leave it in a reasonably tidy condition at the end of the rental period. The client also agrees not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to neighbouring properties.

The client should report to the owner without delay any defects in the property or breakdown in equipment or appliances in the property or garden and arrangements will be made for repair/replacement as soon as possible.

It is the responsibility of parent or guardian to supervise their children.

7. CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT

Should you have to cancel a confirmed booking this must be done in writing. The owner will make every effort to re-let the accommodation and if successful, any payments received will be returned, less costs.

No refunds will be made for any unused part of a holiday period

8. THE OWNER’s LIABILTY

The owner cannot be held responsible for noise or disturbance originating beyond the boundaries of the property or which is beyond their control.

The owner cannot be held responsible for the failure of public utilities such as water, gas and electricity.

The owner cannot accept responsibility for losses or damages caused by strikes, fire, storms, floods, airport or ferry closure or any other event beyond their control.

The owner cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss or damage to you personally, your belongings or your vehicles when using the accommodation, grounds, equipment or other amenities. The use of these amenities is entirely at your own risk and the owner accepts no responsibility.

The owner cannot be held responsible for damage or inconvenience caused or suffered by the client if the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period. In any such event the owner shall, within seven days of notification to the client, refund to the client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.

Under no circumstances shall the owner’s liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the client for the rental period

9. INSURANCE

The owner strongly recommends that you take out comprehensive travel insurance.

10. PETS

Pets of any description are not allowed.

11. NOTES

As with most of rural France, this property is serviced by a septic tank system. It is important that no sanitary or baby items are flushed down the toilets and only French toilet paper is used. Only toilet cleaners suitable for septic tanks may be used. The owner will supply toilet paper and cleaner during your stay.

12 GOVERNING LAW

This contract shall be governed by English law in every particular including formation and interpretation and shall be deemed to have been made in England, where the booking was made, confirmed and paid. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in England.

Returning Visitor Discount

Those visitors that return will be entitled to a 10% discount on the booking fee..

Damage to goods or Property

Vistors are requested to treat the property as they would thier own home, Any items damaged or broken during your stay should be replaced at your expense. Please note that if you use the games room, that due care and attention should be taken whe using the bar billiards, table football and darts. Children sholud never be let into the games room unsupervised by an adult
